High Protein Breakfast

I love a routine. It makes staying on track, when your life is busy, that much easier! As much as I love routine I do like to swap things up a little and I hate to waste a thing!

My daughter was gently in town for summer and she loves smoked salmon! It’s not something I regularly buy but after she left I was stuck with a Costco sized package and my partner is NOT a fan.

While Salmon is an excellent source of Omega 3 Fatty Acids, vitamins, antioxidants AND is a low calorie food it does have a lot of fat in relation to the protein.

This means meeting your protein goal for your meal or the day with salmon alone might be challenging without having too much fat. Smoked salmon can also be high in sodium. BUT it’s good so let me show you how to turn this “treat” into a high protein breakfast!


Once you have determined what your nutrient needs are you can decide how much of each ingredient to use!

Rice cakes

Laughing cow cheese

Cucumber

Egg whites

Everything Bagel Seasoning

Avocado
